Using Tagul to create - Grade 4 CCSS Math Overview
This Tagul Word Cloud was created from the overview of 4th grade Common Core Standards found in the Indiana Common Core State Standards for Mathematics PDF document found on the Indiana DOE website. Tagul identified common words (is, of, the and others) that were not included in the cloud. I then went through the list to combine some words into phrases as they were found in the document. I changed the URL links for the default Google searches to add the word definition or to put in quotes around the word phrases.
What I like best about using Tagul this way is that I can quickly see what words are used most frequently because they appear larger than others. While this is not a substitute for reading the document it does provide a good visual overview.

Quizlet.com
I have been recommending this site for awhile now. There are literally millions of these little quizzes already created and if you can't find what you are looking for making your own is simple. They HTML code can be copied and embedded. I have added flashcard practices to my Moodle.
Wow that was easy!
I just setup my new blog in minutes! I am constantly sending little notes to friends about great classroom tools so I thought I would start a blog and post some of my favorites here.
